Get Belted with Gates at the OBCA’s Bike and Beer Festival

To support OBCA and generate some buzz for the Portland handmade show, Gates Carbon Drive is seeking proposals for unique, curious, innovative or just damn cool belt drive bikes to be displayed at the 2016 Bike and Beer Festival. Want to get belted? Submit your ideas (one paragraph concept is enough) to paul.tolme@gates.com by July 15. Include the subject line: Belted in PDX.

Gates will review all submissions and notify winning builders by July 22. The only requirement is that the bike be displayed at the show, and that winners submit quality photography to Gates for sharing on social media and the Belted Blog. If you have not worked with Gates Carbon Drive before, please review the product line and technical resources at www.gatescarbondrive.com. If Gates accepts your idea, Gates will provide a free system and technical assistance. Gates will debut its new new longer belt lengths (158- and 168-tooth) in Portland, so also send ideas for your longtail cargo bikes or chopper monsters.
